Visiting the World's Highest Hotel
The Hotel Everest View holds the Guinness Record for the highest hotel. Located above Namche Bazaar, it offers a terrace view of the Mount Everest summit that is legendary. It’s a must-visit on any Everest trekking trip.
It takes about an hour to hike up from Namche. It is steep and dusty, but it is the perfect acclimatization walk. The reward is a 360-degree panorama of the Khumbu giants.
You don't have to stay there to enjoy it. Trekkers flock to the terrace for coffee and breakfast. Sipping a cappuccino while looking at the Everest summit is a surreal experience.
Rooms are pressurized and heated. Staying here offers luxury, but ensure you are acclimatized first. It is a popular stop for helicopter tours and luxury Everest expeditions.
