The 6-day Lumbini Tour is a comfortable cultural and spiritual journey in the Terai plains, so packing is light and simple compared to high-altitude treks. Comfortable walking shoes or sandals are recommended as you will explore monasteries and sacred sites on flat, mostly paved paths. Light, modest cotton or breathable clothing (covering shoulders and knees) is ideal out of respect for the religious environment, especially when entering temples. A light jacket or shawl is useful for cool early mornings and evenings from October to March. Bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and an umbrella or raincoat during the monsoon-influenced months (June–September). A small daypack is perfect for carrying your camera, phone, power bank, personal items, and any offerings you wish to make at the temples. If you plan to meditate, you may bring a meditation cushion or shawl. Most hotels provide towels and basic toiletries, but personal essentials, any required medications, and insect repellent are advisable. Vegetarian and Jain travelers will find food easily available, so no special food items are needed. Pack light, dress respectfully, and focus on comfort — this peaceful pilgrimage requires minimal gear.
